CertAsig launches “Meet the Broker” program dedicated to their broker-partners

 24 August 2016

This summer CertAsig introduced their new “Meet the Broker” program, a special project dedicated to their broker-partners which aims to identify new business development opportunities and ideas for new products. The meetings which started 2 months ago, organised by Cristina Otet, Head of Brokers Department and Mihai Bizineche, Chief Underwriter as well as CertAsig board directors, take place on CertAsig’s roof-top terrace with spectacular views of neighbouring Herastrau Lake. The preferred time of day for these meetings is 8am to include a coffee and croissant breakfast.

“Our broker partners bring more than 98% of our total premiums, so we decided to formalise more regular face-to-face meetings at our offices, to take advantage of the warm weather and our pleasant terrace. The aim of the meetings is to have dedicated one-on-one time with our core brokers, to ask for their feedback on our service, discuss areas of potential improvement and most importantly to deliberate new products which brokers propose. CertAsig has plenty of ideas of new insurance products for the market, but broker feedback is critical for us to assess potential market demand for our new product ideas. It is far better to identify one or two new products for which there is demand than to launch many products which nobody wants. We have successfully designed event insurance, drone insurance and various marine products over the years – the driver for these products was effective broker dialogue. These meetings encourage similar brain-storming sessions.” stated James Grindley, CEO CertAsig.

“Already well-known in the market as an insurance company with a unique business strategy, oriented exclusively to corporate segment through insurance brokers, CertAsig’s initiative to launch a dedicated program for our main selling partners was a natural step for us. This way we are able to demonstrate our commitment and appreciation of our common work so far, and more or to get first hand feedback which is essential in such a dynamic business environment. One should remember that brokers now control more than 70% of non-life premiums in Romania so are the clear dominant selling channel “stated Cristina Otet, Head of Brokers Department.
